Francesca will perform a complete cycle of the Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin by J.S. Bach. These monumental works showcase the expressive pontential of the violin through complex counterpoint, singing melodies and lively dances. In the first program, on November 4, 2018, Francesca will perform the ornate Partita No. 1 in B minor: a series of elegant Baroque dances, each of which contains  a "Double" or variation on the original movement. She will also perform the iconic Sonata No. 3 in C major, known for its writing influenced by Bach's expertise as an organist. This concert will be followed by another, in 2019, where Francesca will perform the remaining three Sonatas and Partitas in the cycle.
